ATLANTA – February 19, 2024 – Innova Solutions, a leading Minority Business Enterprise, has announced a series of activities to celebrate Black History Month and advance the organization’s commitment to championing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The Innova Foundation kicked off the month with a sponsored lunch event in partnership with Trinity Community Ministries (TCM), which provided an opportunity for Innova’s staff to engage with residents and hear their inspiring stories of personal transformation. TCM’s dedication to aiding homeless men in reclaiming their lives aligns with the Innova Foundation’s own mission to uplift underrepresented members of the community. Their historic Atlanta venue, also the preparation site for MLK Jr.’s funeral in 1968, provided a poignant backdrop for the event.
Nita Sardana, Chief Impact Officer of the Innova Foundation, expressed the organization’s dedication to community support, stating:
“Our lunch with Trinity is a testament to Innova’s commitment to creating a positive impact in the communities we serve. By engaging in this collaboration with Trinity as well as with other community partners, our Innovators are making a meaningful impact while building deeper connections with fellow members of the community.”
In addition to the event with Trinity, Innova Solutions and Amazon Web Services (AWS) are set to host a webcast on February 21, 2024, titled, “Bridging the Digital Divide Through GenAI: Empowering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Tech.” The conversation will delve into the impact of GenAI on communities of color and feature distinguished speakers, including Dr. Nashlie Sephus from Amazon AI, Punish Malhotra from Innova Solutions, and Cynthia Myers, Lead of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Innova.
The virtual event will explore critical topics, such as defining the digital divide, AI’s influence on existing disparities, considerations before adopting AI, the role of tech companies in bridging the digital divide, and the future of AI. The webcast aims to foster diversity in the tech realm, showcasing how advanced technologies can help create a more inclusive society.
