Environment Setup and Infrastructure: Established a robust infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Bazel, Terraform, and custom Docker images stored in the GCP Artifact Registry
Data Integration: Implemented a self-managed Kafka system for seamless data integration and utilized private service connect routes for secure data traffic
Data Migration and CDC: Migrated historical data to BigQuery using GoldenGate and conducted a comprehensive proof of concept (POC) for change data capture (CDC), finalizing the choice of Confluent’s Oracle CDC and Debezium Oracle connectors to optimize real-time data flow
Security Enhancements: Established VPC service controls with scoped access context policies, API enablement, and project-level roles, significantly enhancing security posture and preventing data exfiltration
