Outdated data warehouse incapable of managing the rapidly increasing data volumes required for informed decision-making
Insufficient data security measures, risking non-compliance with industry regulations and exposing sensitive information to potential threats
Disrupted data processes, with limited real-time accessibility hindering fast decision-making, inflating operational costs, and stalling business growth
Solution
We implemented a comprehensive, scalable, and secure solution that included:
Infrastructure Setup: Deployed a robust infrastructure on GCP using Bazel, Terraform, and custom Docker images in GCP Artifact Registry. Leveraged private service connect routes for secure data traffic and deployed self-managed Kafka for seamless data integration
Data Migration & CDC: Migrated historical data to BigQuery with GoldenGate and conducted a POC for Change Data Capture (CDC). Finalized Confluent Oracle CDC and Debezium Oracle connectors for optimizing real-time data flow
Security Enhancements: Implemented VPC service controls with scoped access context policies, API enablement, and project-level roles to enhance security and prevent data exfiltration

Achieved a 30% reduction in data processing times, migrating 187 tables to BigQuery and building 68 data pipelines with Oracle CDC and Debezium connectors
